Aquatic Invasive Species Pull in West River

Join the Canandaigua Lake Watershed Association and the Finger Lakes Institute (FLI) in the West River in Naples to pull Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS)
The AIS that we will be focusing on are Water Chestnut and European Frog Bit. Both AIS have been identified in the West River, and this is a management effort in partnership with the FLI.
FLI will provide watercraft for those who do not have a kayak or canoe. If you do need a watercraft provided, please let us know in the survey so we can plan for you!
Event Date and Time: Wednesday July 17th, 9 AM – Meet at Boat Launch. We will get acquainted and do a quick lesson on AIS
Location: West River Boat Launch (High Tor West River Unit WMA in Google)
Directions: West River Site – Off Route 245, 7 miles south of the Village of Middlesex on right side of the road
Please wear appropriate attire for paddling:
-Sunscreen
-Sunglasses
-Hats/sandals/light clothing
-Bring plenty of water and a snack if you’d like
