While Lynn grew up spending her summers on Chautauqua Lake, her family has been enjoying the clean Canandaigua waters since the early 1990s. A change in the shoreline clarity and color in 2015-16 was a cause for grave concern, leading to CLWA and an invitation to join the board in 2018. Co-coordinating the Association’s first volunteer shoreline HABs monitoring program with Sally Napolitano, Nadia Harvieux and Lindsay McMillan, was the beginning of several science-based, data driven projects with regional stakeholders. Her drive to understand the factors contributing to environmental issues in the watershed and background in Communications & PR supports the CLWA’s mission.
