SUPPORT REQUESTED: Annual Appeal.
Will you make a 2025 Annual Appeal gift today to protect Canandaigua Lake? Your donation powers the science, education, and community action that keep our lake healthy and thriving. For more than 55 years, the Canandaigua Lake Watershed Association has been the voice for our lake—protecting its waters, advancing science, and inspiring stewardship.
Every dollar counts, and every donor makes a difference. Donate Today! Together, we can continue protecting Canandaigua Lake for generations.

Your donation today will help sustain critical programs for the coming year.
Science in Action
In 2025, 78 volunteers tracked over 90 harmful algal blooms, helping safeguard public health. Sixteen years of Secchi Disk data help guide lake management, and our new online data portal will soon make this science accessible to all. In 2026, we’ll expand monitoring into key streams to better understand how nutrients affect water quality.
Community in Action
Through our Lake Friendly Living programs—like rain barrel workshops and the new Wood Library Rain Garden—residents are learning simple ways to reduce runoff. Volunteers also removed hundreds of pounds of invasive frogbit, keeping our waters open and healthy.
Inspiring the Next Generation
More than 3,000 students explored lake protection this year, including 370 sixth graders who learned how to stop aquatic invaders. Our Summer Water & Wildlife Camp gave kids hands-on experience as future lake stewards.
Together, we can make a lasting difference in preserving the health of Canandaigua Lake.
