DESCRIPTION:ABOUT THE EVENT \nUp to 200 racers will take off on Lakeshore Drive in Canandaigua at 8:30 am on August 4th\nto race the fastest mile in the Finger Lakes. SUMMARY:2024 Water and Wildlife Summer Camp for Middle Schoolers
DESCRIPTION:Where: Onanda Park\, 4965 County Road 16\, Canandaigua NY \nWhen: August 12-16th\, M-F\, 9 AM- 3 PM (Before and aftercare available from 8 AM- 4 PM) \nWho: 6th- rising 9th graders \n \nThe interactive and fun camp activities for the week include: \n\nFind crayfish\, mayflies\, dragonfly nymphs\, and many more critters while exploring the streams and forest\nLearn about invasives\, food webs\, water quality\, and enjoy a bus ride around the lake to conduct water sampling\nExplore a variety of the fish and amphibians that are commonly found in the lake\nLearn special fishing techniques and tying skills\, and how to assess populations\nEnjoy a boat ride and/or canoeing around the lake while water sampling\nHave fun playing educational games and hiking\nAnd much\, much more\n\n \nAnother year of camp is made possible with generous support by the Guido & Ellen Palma Foundation.
