This presentation delves into the fascinating world of the American beaver (Castor canadensis)\, focusing on their rich history\, taxonomy\, physical characteristics\, habitat\, behavior\, and social structure. It further examines the profound ecological impact these ecosystem engineers have on their environment and the biological diversity that emerges due to their actions.   \n  \nPresenters:\nAlli Esposito is the Assistant Director at Finger Lakes Community College’s Muller Field Station. Alli has an Associate’s degree in Natural Resources Conservation\, a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology\, and a master’s degree in Parks and Resource Management.
