DESCRIPTION:Join educators for a fun week of outdoor exploration at Onanda Park this summer! This camp is for you if you answer yes to the following questions: \n\nDo you want to be part of the team that helps keep Canandaigua Lake clean?\nDo you like wildlife?\nDo you like exploring nature?\nDo you like having fun?\n\nWhat will students be doing? \nThis camp will put you in the streams and in the fields around Canandaigua Lake with the help from scientists at Hobart and William Smith College\, FLCC\, DEC and local Science Teachers. You will be: \n\nLearning about the natural wildlife around Canandaigua Lake: We will go on scavenger hunts to collect organisms for study. We will also teach you about harmful invasive species and you will assist us in their removal!\nLearning how scientists monitor and study the lake: We will design and conduct an experiment that will study the water quality in streams around the lake.\nPlaying games!\n\nWhat should I bring? \n\nWaders\, water shoes or extra pair of sneakers that you can get wet\nPhone if you have one\nSweat shirt\nTowel\nSunscreen\n\nWhere do I return my registration form and $50? \nA $50 deposit will reserve you one of the 21 spots\, and includes a t-shirt\, water bottle\, poncho and snacks.
