DESCRIPTION:Location: Onanda Park\, 4965 County Road 16\, Canandaigua\, NY 14424 in Crouch Hall\nWhen: Saturday\, September 30th\nTime: 1:00-3:00 PM\n\n\n\n\nThis event is graciously sponsored by the Finger Lakes Land Trust Finger Lakes Land Trust (fllt.org)\nThe town of Canandaigua will be hosting this event at Onanda Park.\n\nWe often talk about Reduce\, Reuse\, Recycle\, Repurpose\, etc… but what about the concept of utilizing something in it’s entirety? It’s not a new concept\, and the Native Americans truly embodied the practice in many aspects of their lives and culture. \nLearn from the experts at Ganondagan about the importance of the white tail deer to the Hodinöhsö:ni’ peoples from a valuable source of food to unique and clever tools created from the bones. The furs used as a wrap to keep you warm in cold weather and a blanket for your bed\, to beautiful tanned clothing and moccasins.
