DESCRIPTION:3rd Grade Lesson: \nStudents will be introduced to what a watershed is and learn about how it functions by viewing a few different models of one. The majority of the lesson is focused on the use of the EnviroScape watershed model in order to demonstrate how storm water runoff carries non-point source pollutants through the watershed to a pond\, lake\, river\, bay\, or ocean. Best management practices to prevent this type of pollution is then discussed.
