SUMMARY:Education Program at Naples: 3rd and 5th Grade
DESCRIPTION:3rd Grade Lesson: \nStudents will be introduced to what a watershed is and learn about how it functions by viewing a few different models of one. The majority of the lesson is focused on the use of the EnviroScape watershed model in order to demonstrate how storm water runoff carries non-point source pollutants through the watershed to a pond\, lake\, river\, bay\, or ocean. Best management practices to prevent this type of pollution is then discussed. \n  \n5th Grade: \nStudents will learn about the different ways humans use the land and the potential impacts these uses can have on water quality.
