Hands-on activities to learn
about water quality and aquatic ecosystems.
- Study aquatic insects that live in local streams and learn
what they can tell us about the water quality within our
watershed. - Test water samples for phosphorous, and learn how this
nutrient affects aquatic ecosystems. - Find out how you can help preserve water quality and
the fragile ecosystems of local watersheds.

What: Hands-on activities to learn about aquatic insects
what they tell us about clean water.
Learn about watersheds and what aquatic insects can tell us about the health of Ganondagan's Great Brook. Participants will use stream sampling nets to collect & identify aquatic insects and use their finds to determine how clean the water is. Rubber boots or water shoes required.
Participants meet at the Ganondagan Visitor's Center. Registration required. Friends of Ganondagan Members $3/individual, $10/family; Non-Member $5/ individual, $15/family.

FIRST ANNUAL MEETING OF CANANDAIGUA WATERSHED ASSOCIATION
Please join us for the first annual meeting of Canandaigua Lake Watershed Association, established January 1, 2010, as a result of the merger of Canandaigua Lake Association (formerly East Shore Association) and Canandaigua Lake Watershed Alliance (CLWA).

Directions to Bare Hill: Take Route 364 (East Lake Road) south and turn right toward Canandaigua Lake on North Vine Valley Road (Yates County Road 10) by the Overackers Corners School House. Go about
a mile, then turn right onto Bare Hill Road and go a short way before turning left onto Van Epps Road. Travel west to the parking lot; parking is limited.
