Canandaigua Lake . . . the very name conjures images of amazing sunrises, glorious sunsets, abundant wildlife, dancing reflections, and ever-fascinating displays of nature. 

Canandaigua Lake, which means "chosen spot" was so named by its first inhabitants, Native Americans, who passed this prestine resource on to us . . . untouched.  Now it's our turn to assure this magnificent, precious, and irreplaceable natural resource is preserved and protected for future generations.

. . . And our new logo captures it all.

For more than fifty years, you've known us as East Shore Association of Canandaigua Lake, Inc. or ESA. Our new name, however, more clearly reflects our expanded role as an advocate for ALL of Canandaigua Lake and the people who live here.

As incorporated in our new logo, we are committed to help:

• Protect Canandaigua Lake, its natural resources, and the surrounding land and property
  
• Preserve local Native American folklore and pioneer history
  
• Promote Canandaigua Lake and the surrounding region in responsible, lake-friendly ways
